If you’re starting a business, you know that your website is one of the biggest investments you’ll make. After all, even if you’re not doing business online, your customers will be looking for you online. That’s why it’s so important to make sure you’ve clinched this Las Vegas website design thing from the get-go. Here are a few ways you can be sure to do just that.

Las Vegas Website Design

Make it usable.

When you’re building a website, it’s tempting to spend all your time, effort and awesome design concepts on your home page; after all, you want to make a big first impression. But if you’re pouring all your work into your home page, you’re missing out on making your website super intuitive and usable.

Your home page can be beautiful, but it should also make it super clear what you want your user to do – and how to do it.

Click to tweet

Give them a laugh.

Nothing says, “this company is cool” better than a creative 404 error page. Okay, so you’d like to avoid those pages altogether, but we all know errors happen (and they will on your page too). So make your 404 error funny, ironic or otherwise statement-making. Your customers will appreciate it.

Include a video.

Video content is a must for websites this year. Gone are the days of users filtering through loads of online content. Turn your company bio or “About Us” section into a video. Analytics say that users will watch your video before they read any content – so say what you need to say.

Link to social.

Your website is no longer a stand-alone marketing tool. It’s now part of an entire digital marketing strategy that incorporates social platforms. That’s why it’s important to make your social links conspicuous on the page – the home page, that is.

Make the copy concise.

These days, your customers aren’t looking to spend hours reading your website content. That’s why it’s so important to say what you have to say – understandably, clearly and concisely. We’d belabor this point, but that wouldn’t be concise, would it?
