Silly rabbit, Twitter’s not just for annoying updates on the mundane, everyday activities of the self-important. After all, we already know the benefits the big-time social media player can have on your business.
But now, Twitter might just be the black horse—er, bird?—in the internet search engine race. Biz Stone this week announced that Twitter has surpassed Bing as the world’s fastest-growing search engine.
With search partnerships in place with Microsoft, Bing and Google, Twitter is processing as many as 600 million inquiries a day. Not bad for a site who also has to publish the ever-changing daily activities of John Mayer.
